Bridlington’s thriving fishing and maritime industry spurred many supporting trades and businesses to grow up around the harbour and town. Notable among these were rope making fish processing, boat building, chandlery, exporting and importing and servicing the Priory.
Today many fishermen still make their own lobster pots and boat repairs take place on the Harbour top.
